I recently installed ie8. One of the new things I’ve noticed is any web page
I go to that doesn’t ‘fill’ my screen get’s a background picture. The
background pictures vary. I’m on a internet plan that charges depending on
how much downloading and uploading I do. This new feature concerns me as the
amount of downloading has increased dramatically with ie8. I think this may
be one of the culprits.

Long explanation, short question . . .
Can anyone advise if there is a way to turn this feature off?
Are there any other easy ways to avoid a lot of background downloading in
this new version?
Thanks in advance,
george
