Well a simple little app caught my eye this morning, the LCD Checker. Now that the iPhone andiPod Touch have been out long enough where dead pixels can come into play, a simple app will help detect any of those pixels. A very basic app, starts out as a white screen. There is no status bar or screen gaps of any sort, so your able to check the entire screen. . The color of the screen can be changed by shaking it or by touching screen with 2 fingers. To bring up instructions and information about the app, just press the screen once. The test itself are performed by coloring the display in red, blue, or green and you can watch carefully to see if ANY dead pixels appear. IF you happen to come across 3 or more dead pixels, and your device is still under warranty, you can send it in to Apple, and they will more than likely replace it. If you think you have any screen issues on your iPhone, iPod Touch, and even the iPad you can find the LCD Checker on the App Store.
