I had been resisting the upgrade from IE6 to IE 8 for some time
at one time (in the past) I did install IE7 but hated it and went back to IE6

at one time (in the past) I did install IE7 but hated it and went back to IE6
last nite I installed IE 8 and overall it seems ok BUT … yes the BUT ….
I normally have my Windows toolbar (along the bottom of the screen) auto hide
IE 8 is Totally overriding the toolbar settings and only way I can see the
toolbar
to even get to the START menu is to minimise IE8
So I changed the toolbar settings to locked on permanent display ….
still no go IE8 is still overriding any windows settings !
anyone have any answers ?
